WARRANTY INFORMATION

All products sold by ModernDanish.com undergo rigorous multi-level functional testing and inspection.
They are warranted to be free from any defects in material or workmanship. We offer a 3 Month limited warrantee on products that are installed by a professional plumber. Under this warranty we will repair or replace any defected product.  ModernDanish.com does not make any further warranties, expressed or implied. If a product is determined to be defective while still under warranty, ModernDanish.com will repair or replace the product, or make an appropriate adjustment at its sole discretion, excluding removal or installation charges.
Warranty does not apply when the item has been tampered with, misused, improperly installed, altered or has been damaged through abuse or accident.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper installation, alterations, improper repairs, improper use, damage due to negligence, improper maintenance or damage due to utilization of the product other than its intended and normal use. In accordance with the laws of limitation and exclusion, state by state, and therefore provided the duly exceptions, ModernDanish.com will not be liable, in any event, for any special indirect, incidental or consequential damages or losses (including but not limited to damages for loss of business, loss of profits, etc.) for breach of contract and tort (including negligence). Damage or loss will not in any case exceed the contract price paid by the original purchaser for the product claimed defective. This warrantee is valid for the original consumer purchaser only.

SHIPPING and FREIGHT

Great care is taken in our packaging to allow for safe delivery to you without breakage!

INSPECTION on DELIVERY
NOTE:  To insure the safe and secure delivery of our items to the shipping destination of your choice, SIGNATURE is required for all items.  Be sure that the destination will have someone that can be trusted to sign and receive your package.
All shipments must be inspected to be SURE that you received the correct items, complete order, and REPORT ANY DAMAGE that may have occurred during shipment, within 10 days from receiving. No Exceptions to this rule. Verify all assumptions – Open your boxes promptly – report immediately and be specific with problems.  The shipping companies only provide us a NARROW WINDOW in which to file damage claims on your behalf.  We cannot replace damaged merchandise unless clear fault is established on the part of the carrier AND we have reported it quickly and completely.
At the time of receipt of your products
 You should follow these simple steps:

  1. Please check your shipment immediately upon receipt for any visible damage to the box or packing materials. If the boxes are dented, crushed, scratched, punctured, or cut it is very important to mark this on the bill of lading or note this with the driver delivering. If there is a possibility of damage it is necessary to open the box and mark the actual damage on the bill of lading; please make every attempt to be as specific as possible.
  2. You may want to open these boxes before the driver leaves to ensure that the contents do not have concealed damage.  Due to the nature of the products we sell, boxes that have been dropped may not show obvious signs of external damage. While this is very unusual, it occasionally does happen. The driver may refuse to allow you the time to open the boxes - if this is the case, open the boxes as soon as possible, but not later than 5 calendar days after the delivery to inspect for damage.

 

DAMAGED ITEMS-
ModernDanish will file the claim, perform all necessary paperwork, etc. on your behalf providing:

  • All damaged shipments must be confirmed with the ModernDanish.com customer service team via email.
  • Do not attempt to return any damaged shipment back to ModernDanish.com without the authorization of the customer service team.

After 10 days we will not allow damage claims and your items cannot be returned. YOU will have to file a FedEx claim for reimbursement.  You will then have to repurchase from us if you would like a replacement item.

  • Damage call tags from FedEx can only be scheduled by our customer service department when FedEx has damaged the item in shipping and this must be immediately reported to get this return pickup service.
  • Because ModernDanish.com files claims for merchandise (that which was damaged during transit by the commercial carrier), the customer must hold his item for inspection within 10-15 calendar days. Afterwards, the damaged merchandise must be returned. The damaged item will then be replaced by ModernDanish.com and returned to you at our expense.

If we need to replace a damaged item, it is in your best interest to contact us immediately in order to prevent the item from being sold out. If the item is no longer available, customer service will assist you in making alternative arrangements, or arranging a refund. Any requests for exchanges or reports of shipment shorts or errors not reported within 10 days of delivery expressly cannot be honored.

 

ORIGINAL PACKAGING
All Returns and exchanges must be received back in original shipping container and in sellable condition.  If the product arrives broken, there is no exchange or refund available.

FREIGHT CLAIMS

Once the product is released to and accepted by the freight carrier, and subject to the above warrantee provisions, www.ModernDanish.com’s responsibility ceases. ModernDanish.com is not responsible for damages occurring during transit. All packages must be inspected by the purchaser immediately upon delivery and must be noted on the bill of lading prior to the carrier leaving the site. All visible and concealed damages Must be noted on the waybill and signed by the carrier before the driver leaves. A copy of the waybill must be sent to ModernDanish.com within 48 hours from delivery time. The purchaser is responsible for filling any damage claims against the carrier. We will assist you with any paperwork that you need.
Nothing should be disposed of until the inspection in completed. The inspection report along with the shipment waybill must be sent to ModernDanish.com within 48 hours after the inspection, to enable ModernDanish.com to assist in collecting damage claims.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

ModernDanish.com is committed to your satisfaction and offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. All of our products are fully backed with a guarantee protecting you from defects, poor workmanship and damage in shipping to customer. We will gladly replace it or accept a return of the merchandise, in accordance to the re-stocking fees outlined below.  Remember, there are costs associated with your purchase.  Should you decide you would like to return your purchased product, credit card processing fees, packaging materials and labor costs will be withheld from your purchase price in the form of our re-stocking fee. Shipping is Non-Refundable for all items returned at the request of the Customer.   

You must email the customer service department in order to authorize your return. They will then send you the RMA instructions via email. We strongly suggest that you purchase insurance with the carrier you choose to send the products back. We do not accept damaged returns and we will refuse the delivery. It is then the consumer’s responsibility to file a claim with carrier. All returns and exchanges must be approved by customer service with an RMA number. If you send the product back without authorization, ModernDanish.com reserves the right to refuse the return or exchange. All Returns and exchanges must be received back in original shipping container and in sellable condition.  If the product arrives broken, there is no exchange or refund available.

After 30 calendar days of the date the RMA email  is received, the Return Authorization Number will expire.

IS my Item DEFFECTIVE?
All items are fully inspected to help avoid shipment of defective products.
Defects are handled on a case-by-case basis and procedures vary by manufacturer.

  • Shipping is Non-Refundable for all items returned at the request of the Customer.   
  • All items claimed as defective are inspected upon return receipt. If the item is found to be without defects, the item will be returned to the customer; a credit will not be provided. Customer pays for return shipping to receive their products back and may make this payment with a major credit card.
  • Please do not attempt to return any item you feel is defective to ModernDanish.com without a Return Authorization Number from our Customer Service. We are not responsible for products sent back to us without an authorization. Please review the RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY of ModernDanish.com for additional information.
  • Please contact us by email at service@ModernDanish.com to request a Return Authorization Number.  Our hours of operation are on the Contact Us page of our site.
  • ModernDanish.com will make every reasonable attempt to ensure your replacement item is shipped out as soon as possible, unless these items are out of stock.  In the event that the replacement items are out of stock, reasonable alternatives will be suggested to remedy your situation on a case-by-case basis.
  • If applicable ModernDanish.com will repair the defective item upon receipt and return the repaired product to the customer within 10 business days. ModernDanish.com will not reimburse the freight and insurance for items returned due to a manufacturer’s defect. The shipping cost of the item will be the customer’s responsibility.

The Modern Danish Outlet Store is where you might find products such as sinks, furniture, bathroom vanities, pedestals, lighting and other products we have as Overstock, Clearance products, Refurbished, Returns, Slightly Damaged, Products with Blemishes, Small Problem Issues are some of the reasons items are listed on Clearance on our site. Issues will be listed in each description. All Sales Are Final and Items listed in clearance are sold As-Is and are not returnable and are not covered by warrantee. The product photos shown in the Outlet Store are original stock photos of the products which do not show the product in its current state.

CANCELLATIONS.
If an order that was  paid by a credit card has been cancelled prior to shipment, the payment will be fully refunded minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. This is necessary to cover our costs incurred by the credit card processing agencies and administrative fees which are non-reversible. Please note that we consider your product to be "shipped" when it has been picked from our stock and labeled for shipment with the freight carrier. After products are considered “shipped,” cancellations are treated as returns.  Please see the Returns and Exchanges portion of our policies for additional information around Returns Processing.
All Special Orders are Non Refundable after payment is received – no exceptions.

PAYMENTS.

ModernDanish.com accepts all major credit cards and Pay Pal. We also accept personal checks and money orders which are subject to bank approval; this may delay your shipping date by 7-10 business day or longer depending on the bank. E- checks from PayPal are considered checks.
